Rules and Procedures
1. Ruidoso Surplus Auction will be conducted starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 26 at School House Park, 501 Sudderth Drive.
2. Items can be previewed at School House Park between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Friday,September 25.
3. All auction purchases are subject to a five-percent (5%) Buyer’s Premium added to the total purchase price plus retail sales tax.
4. All bidders must register with the auction accounting department in order to bid on
items. Registration will begin on Friday, September 25.
5. Bidders will be given a number to use during the auction when they register. The
number will be associated with an individual’s bids.
6. Everything in the auction is sold AS IS, WHERE IS with no guarantees of any kind. Buyers are urged to inspect all items before bidding.
7. All purchases in the auction must be paid for SAME DAY regardless of when the items are removed from School House Park.
8. All Titles will be transferred upon payment of items. The Village of Ruidoso is
responsible for transferring all titles of ownership and payment will be required before new owner takes possession of any item.
9. All final decisions regarding the purchase of items will be made by Keithley Auctions,LLC.
10. Telephone and Advance Bidding: Telephone or Advance Bids can be accepted by the auctioneer during the auction process. If you are requesting to bid on items by
telephone, you must pre-register and provide a telephone number that the auction staff
can contact you when a particular item is being sold. While every effort will be
made by auction staff to help bidders participate in the live auction process via
telephone, no guarantees of bid acceptance is implied.
11. The Village of Ruidoso is responsible for the accounting of the auction and accepts payment in the form of credit card or check. A bank letter that guarantees funds is required for any check written for an amount more than $10,000.
12. Keithley Auctions is not responsible for any damage of auction property that may occur following the sale of the item. All sales are final and occur at the time the auctioneer indicates the item has been sold.
13. Any item that is being offered may be withdrawn from the auction by the auctioneer before the time of sale. The auctioneer will attempt to make a public announcement in advance if any item is being withdrawn.
14. Additional rules may be announced at the time of sale and take precedent over written rules. All decisions concerning the auction that are made by Keithley Auctions LLC are final.
